We were at the Alex last night and waited for our son who had to come from England. The two hours of waiting were pleasantly sweetened by the two very nice waiters It's a shame that it has to close for a month

We stayed at Alex on Sunday evening and it wasn't busy. We were 5 adults and 2 children I can get to the point with just one sentence EVERYTHING PERFECT The service was friendly - extremely friendly - extremely helpful and courteous without being intrusive! The food was amazing - my steak was cooked to perfection and the quality of the meat was top-notch We had a bottle of red wine - a Shiraz - for 17 € a bargain and still very, very good. In general, I think the prices for this location are extremely good! The service was fun even with the kids. One of the children was also the only guest who had something to complain about about the meal, as the spinach on the children's plate was made with fresh spinach and not with frozen food with cream! Is that the very last thing that is freshly cooked 😎😂 ... no, joking aside! We were there a few days ago and will be back again! It's just a great location despite the current situation ... I hope this review will be read by senior members of the Alex Group Please continue like this It's great with you

Best place to chill between the flights. No haste and moving travellers. Service, food, devotion- all 5 stars. But the best thing in this restaurant is the WC. Better seen only in Dubai with the golden night case. View in overwhelming.

We haven't had such great service in a long time. The food is good for Sytemgastro, large portions and a diverse selection. In the whole area of ​​Squaire / airport a great price / performance ratio.

Nice, not overcrowded place. Alex's location was great! Very tasty, nice and open !! Inside the Squaire, despite the glazing, it is super pleasant even in very warm weather! So good air conditioning in the squaire. :) The breakfast was manageable. A normal breakfast. There is hardly anything for vegetarians except a few cheeses. Too bad that there was no spread, or some cream cheese. It would also be great to have a label on the Chevis and co.! Service too slow and not attentive enough. When asked what we wanted to drink, I asked for an orange juice. The fact that an orange juice was included in the breakfast offer was not mentioned, so my husband and I each had 2, a total of 4 orange juices on the table - it could have been solved differently ... When it came to the payment we hung in the "queue" for half an hour. A couple at the next table had problems with the payment, so both service staff stood at the table and philosophized together ... when the couple was gone, of course, two had to be chatted about and blasphemed, which of course took some time ... as finally once one of the two came to our attention, it just said "my colleague will come over soon" - yes, wait again! * facepalm When I also gave 2 vouchers, which, by the way, a sticker on the door said that they would be accepted, the excitement was great - in the end, the waitress came back after a while and simply told us without a receipt, without a bill a price that we just paid. No idea whether the vouchers were used or not! But that didn't matter. On the whole, nice, but nothing special, nothing loving, attentive or well thought out. Everything looks like nice international franchise system handling.

Good place to enjoy a cold drink in a cozy atmosphere, prices are absolutely reasonable 😎👍. Also a good place for vegan folks✌️

Service was average considering the restaurant was quiet. Took longer than anticipated to be served. Food quality wasn’t the best nor was the portion size. Went for one of the curry dishes and there was very little meat contained. Really poor. Put me off visiting again.

I paid 15 euros for unlimited brunch and it was totally worthy

Good cocktails, very friendly nice service. Cozy atmosphere to end a working day. The food looked pretty good. The sweet potato fries actually convinced me. It's a shame that you can only stay until 11 p.m. But it is probably due to the squaire, as the lights went out on time at 11 p.m.

Extremely bad and lazy Service

Amazing quality food at a very reasonable price. The staff was also friendly. The food was finger licking delicious. The aroma of the food when it came to my table was out of this world. Hats off to the chef and the restaurant owner. 👌 Looking forward to have a meal here again!

Outstanding experience! They didn't give a chance to complain, everything was so perfect. The staff was very attentive, there was always someone around. It's clearly in the list of top 10 restaurants that I've ever been in. Out of all the 10 restaurants, this was one of the only few places for which I felt like writing a review.

Bravo! The waiters are always very hard working and polite. The selection of items in the menu is great and so far all of them have tasted delicious. The place itself is very beautiful.

I ate salad from here, it was super healthy and super tasty then the next day I came back for a whole meal. The food is so fresh and yummy. My tummy is happy and thankful for such an amazing service.

I was very hungry so I decided to try this restaurant. I'm so surprised by the quality of the food. It is now my favorite restaurant. I had two burgers and it was so tasty.

There was only one waiter available on 10/11/2019 when we sat down for dinner just before 18:00. All other staff were hanging around the bar. My husband got the wrong burger and ate it without complaining because he was tired, hungry and couldn't wait for the right burger. I ordered Nachos with Cheese sauce, creme fraiche and extra guacamole. A few minutes after eating, I noticed the creme fraiche was missing from the dish so I asked the waiter about it and he said that it doesn't come with creme fraiche so I confirmed by pointing it out on the menu and then he abruptly says to me " There is no creme fraiche,they gave you extra cheese sauce. " The cheese sauce was a reasonable amount , not extra. So I kept quiet because I too was tired and not in the mood for an argument. He never offered us more drinks, dessert or condiments. We were ignored for the entire duration. Now, lets talk about the bill, he comes with it, tells me the amount and I say thank you and hand over my credit card. He asks if I am going to pay the tip cash or put it on the card, I say "I don't have money for a tip" because I didn't want to hurt his feelings by saying "I am not tipping because your service has been very bad and I don't appreciate your lies and abruptness." He goes onto tell me that they don't earn enough money and I have to pay a tip because he also has to share tips with the kitchen staff. He was quite aggressive with his tone of voice and facial expressions so I proceeded to tell him that I was not happy with my food and his service. He goes on to tell me that this is Germany and here we have to tip between 5 and 10 percent. ( Even if we get bad service and the wrong food? ) He proceeded to harass me for a tip. My husband stepped in and told him he was being rude and unprofessional. During the card machine transaction he continued to be nasty and tell me I can keep the tip as a present. After we left I broke down into tears. Was this guy nasty to me because I am a women of color ( my husband is white ) or was he just an overworked underpaid employee taking his frustrations out on customers?

Food was alright. Waiter was friendly and funny, but maybe could be interpreted as rude. He also didn't come to the table often and we had to flag him down to get the bill after waiting a long time.

This was my worst resturant ever! I had a company of 6 and was seated with not so welcoming manner. We waited for 45 minutes, attempted to call the waitress several times and it was obvious she was deliberately ignoring us. We eventually called a male waiter and notified him that we waited for almost 50 minutes. The reply we got was not an apology but ‘that’s nice’ and walked away. To the owner of ALEX, for the sake of the survival of your business, you really should fire those staffs.

I have dinner at Alex every time I visit Frankfurt. Having a Super Food Salad is healthy and delicious option after a long flight. A glass of wine makes it even nicer.

Okay, so the food and beer selection were good. Better than expected even. However, I can't understand how nothing is being done to correct the customer service issue. I read several of the previous reviews and it's clear, three is a problem! So many people state that their server disappears and you end up waiting 45min for a drink. Is this such a difficult issue to resolve? Just add a couple more servers per shift. While visiting today, not only did I wait really long for first contact, drink deliveries, etc, but there were also two travelers seated near me. Both got so frustrated that they got up and walked inside looking for the server. One of them had a rather uncomfortable confrontation with the server. Clearly a big problem. Owner, please do everyone a favor and add more staff or do a better job training three staff.
